DAVIS, Calif. - The Saint Mary's Men's Tennis Team had two players advance to the semifinals in the Blue Division of the Men's Singles Bracket, but came up just short of advancing at the Aggie Invitational.
James Watt and Carlos Ramos Membrives each played in the semifinal of their bracket setting up the potential of an all-Gaels final. But Watt was eliminated by Mahn Shah of Santa Clara 7-5, 6-1 and Ramos Membrives lost to Andrie Volgin of UC Davis 6-3, 6-4.
Watt and Boris Reckow won the first match of their bracket in the Blue Division of the Men's Doubles 8-2 but lost in the second round 8-3 to UC Davis.
