Moraga, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis continued its hot streak to open the dual match season, cruising past east bay neighbors Holy Names, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.

The Gaels swept the day’s doubles action. The Gaels duo of Matis Bot and Manuel De Luis Lamelas powered past the Eagles tandem on court No. 3, 6-2. Junior Nash Vollenweider and newcomer Damon Kisaris sealed a victory at the No. 1 spot for the Gaels, 6-4. Calvin Jordaan and Jacob Lagman tag-teamed on the second court to seal the opening doubles point for SMC.
