BERKELEY, Calif. – SMC Men's Tennis had another split-squad weekend for their early-season action, with some Gaels participating in the Battle of the Bay Classic and others at the Napa Valley College Tennis Invitational.
James Watt came up just in round one in the Men's Singles at the Battle of the Bay Classic, losing a close one to No. 5 Jacob Fearnley of Texas Christian University 7-5, 6-4.
Fearnley would go on to win the singles competition, while Watt would go on a run in the consolation bracket, making it all the way to the semifinals.
