RENO, Nev. — The Saint Mary's men's tennis team (1-5) came out strong against Nevada (4-2) on Sunday as they picked up two points in singles play, but were ultimately overcome by the Wolf Pack with a final score of 5-2.
Freshman James Watt collected the first win for Saint Mary's as he easily defeated his opponent and came out victorious in a 6-3, 6-4 decision. In the top singles seed, Damon Kesaris earned a hard-fought victory against Julien Evrard and won 7-6, 6-4.
In doubles action, Watt/Kesaris and Daniel Krutik/David Abfalter were just narrowly defeated as they fell 6-4 to their Wolf Pack opposition.
