MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary’s (5-7) took down a tough Army squad with ease on Tuesday in a 6-1 win over the Black Knights.
The Gaels dominated on the singles’ courts, sweeping the Black Knights (10-7) in six matches. Top seeds Damon Kesaris (6-3, 6-2) and Nash Vollenweider (6-3, 7-5) each won in straight sets over their opponents. Manuel De Luis Lamelas and Jacob Lagman also won in straight sets with Lamelas winning 7-5, 6-0 and Lagman cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the six spot.
Matthew Campana and Daniel Krutik both went to three sets in their matches but came out on top to complete the sweep.
