MORAGA, Calif. -- After conducting nearly one-half of its preseason training period on campus, the Saint Mary's men's soccer team departed today for its annual week-long retreat in Sonoma with a strong sense of optimism for the upcoming season.
"We are still early in the preseason, but, so far, I am happy with our team's overall development," said SMC head coach Adam Cooper. "Our fitness level is good and all of our guys are learning how to compete and to do what it takes to improve every single day. After each training session, I think our team has improved.
