SAN MATEO, Calif. — For the second time in as many seasons, Sebastian Schacht has been named to the Preseason All-WCC team, announced on Wednesday morning by the West Coast Conference. The award comes as the latest feather in the cap of the Gaels outstanding midfielder, who figures to help lead the charge as Saint Mary's looks to reclaim the WCC title. Along with the preseason team, the WCC released its Preseason Coaches Poll, which had the Gaels finishing second beyond only Loyola Marymount.
For Schacht, it marks the second-straight year that he has been named to the Preseason All-WCC team after earning honors in the spring leading up to the 2020 season, which was played during the first few months of 2021.
