SAN BRUNO, Calif. — For the second time this season, Jake Rudel has been named West Coast Conference Player of the Week after his outstanding performance against Pacific.
In No. 9 Saint Mary's lone match of the week, Rudel made the most of his time on the pitch with two goals in only 34 minutes of action. The junior forward opened the scoring for the Gaels in the 13th minute of action by teeing up a shot from outside the box that curled past the Pacific keeper.
Rudel tacked on his second score of the match just 17 seconds into the second half as the Gaels sprinted into the Pacific half off the whistle and Anders Engebretsen lofted a pass that Rudel got his head on for an easy goal.
