LAS VEGAS — No. 6 Saint Mary's extended their unbeaten streak to 30 straight games (26-0-4) on Thursday with an impressive 2-0 win over UNLV on the road. The Gaels' streak is the ninth longest ever in NCAA Div. I history and longest since Akron went undefeated in 38 straight matches from 2009-10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Mary's (6-0) defense stepped up big on the road as they held UNLV (2-5) to just four shots in the entire match, a season-best for the Gaels' backline. The Rebels didn't record a shot until the 36th minute of the match and managed only two attempts on goal.
