MIAMI – Saint Mary's Men's Soccer went out in front early against No. 23 Florida International, before the Panthers scored five unanswered goals in a 5-1 non-conference loss for the Gaels.
The Gaels struck first when Riley Lynch kept the pressure on the Panthers defense when they tried to play the ball back to their defense. Justin Sosa and George Herbert converged on an FIU player at the midfield stripe, creating a deflection that sent the ball all the way into the Panther backfield at high speed.
