DEKALB, Ill. — No. 10 Saint Mary's finished out their non-conference schedule on a very high note Saturday night as they dominated the Huskies 5-0 on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gaels (9-1) took the lead just 71 seconds into the match when Boyd Curry connected on Anders Engebretsen's corner kick with a clean header to put SMC up 1-0. The goal proved to be all the Gaels would need as they limited NIU (4-6-1) to just five shots in the match and one on goal.
The offense wouldn't be subdued however as Joseph Restani tallied the second goal in the 12th minute off a shot from the top of the box.
