MORAGA, Calif. — No. 10 Saint Mary's closed out their season on Sunday as they fell 4-0 to No. 22 UC Santa Barbara in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite a defensive stand from both teams in the first 30 minutes of action, UC Santa Barbara took the lead in the 32nd minute when they scored the first goal of the contest off a header to put the Gauchos up 1-0. The Saint Mary's defense only allowed three other shots from UCSB in the first half of play.
