CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Saint Mary's Men's Soccer team couldn't quite slow down the scoring punch of the #13 team in the country as Oregon State defeated the Gaels 4-0 in a non-conference match up Friday night.
The Beavers struck quickly in the 14th minute as a cross into the six-yard box found Oregon State's Adrian Crespo in between a pocket of defenders and he slid down to a knee to redirect it in with his right foot for a 1-0 Beavers lead.
In the 22nd minute a long pass that looked offsides to the Gaels set up Adrian Molina-Diaz behind the Saint Mary's defense and he blasted a left-footed shot across the goal mouth at point-blank range to put Oregon State up 2-0.
