FRESNO, Calif.— The No. 4 Gaels beat the No. 24 Oregon State Beavers 1-0 on Sunday afternoon as Anders Engebretsen secured the game-winning goal during the last ten minutes of the match to advance the Gaels to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The lone goal of the match was scored in the early seconds of the 81st minute by Engebretsen who made contact with a shot that went into the top right corner of the net. Freshman Sebastian Schacht picked up an assist on the goal as he fed the pass to Engebretsen to help him beat the OSU defense.
