SAN BRUNO, Calif. — For the second time in the first three weeks of the season, Gaels' senior forward Anders Engebretsen has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. No. 7 Saint Mary's went 2-0 last week and scored a total of eight goals against San Jose State and CSU Bakersfield.
Engebretsen earned his first career hat trick during Monday's 5-2 win over the Spartans and added an assist for a seven-point performance. After collecting a helper on the Gaels' first goal of the game, Engebretsen scored the equalizer to bring SMC back from a 2-0 deficit.
