MORAGA, Calif. - Tack on another accolade for the Gaels' Riley Lynch this week, as he has been named to the College Soccer News Men's National Team of the Week for his two-goal, one-assist week in SMC's wins over Pacific and USF.
Every week the College Soccer News Team of the Week recognizes players who played a key role in the success their teams had during the week. The most dramatic moment for Lynch when he scored the game winner off a free kick in the 74th minute. After Wade Muttitt drew a penalty just outside the box, Lynch would take the free kick and bend a left-footed shot around Pacific's wall and into the left side of the net, past a frozen goal keeper who was screened by the traffic in front.
