MORAGA, Calif. -- With the Saint Mary's men's soccer team scheduled to report to campus for preseason training in just more than a month and its season opener at Cal taking place just 16 days later, the Gaels don't have a lot of time to prepare for its grueling 18-match schedule.
The team reports to campus on August 9 and will have just two weeks of training, tactical instruction and team building in order to integrate its talented 18 newcomers with the rest of a veteran squad.
The Gaels will play an exhibition match at home on August 21 against San Jose State before opening their season with three straight matches against Pacific-12 Conference opponents.
