ERIE, Colo. - The Mark Simpson Invitational came down to the wire as Saint Mary's recorded seven birdies from their counting scores in their final five holes to jump back into third place for their second top-three finish of the fall season. Colorado State ran away with the title with an 18-under final round performance but Aidan Lee put together a final round 68 (-4) to finish in a three way tie for first place.
Tournament host Colorado would allow for a one hole playoff and Lee and UTEP's Dylan Teeter would go on to par 18 to finish as co-individual champions for Lee's first collegiate win.
