MORAGA, Calif. — No. 17 Saint Mary’s (2-0) proved to be too much offensively for Prairie View A&M (1-2), as the hot shooting Gaels routed the Panthers, 110-72 Wednesday night at McKeon Pavilion.
Today’s victory marks the first time since Dec. 11, 2012 the Gaels scored at least 100 points in a game. The last time this was done, SMC put up 120 against Jackson State.
SMC finished the game 39 for 68 (59%) and 14 for 32 (44%) from three-point shots. The Gaels’ ball movement continued to impress, as the team recorded 26 assists on their 39 field goals.
