SPRINGFIELD, MASS. — Jock Landale remains as one of the top big men in the country, as the 6-11 Aussie was named one of five finalists for the 2017 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today.
Landale was also recognized as part of the USBWA All-District IX Team yesterday. The junior out of East Malvern, Victoria, Australia is having the best year of his career, averaging 16.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. Landale is among the most efficient offensive weapons, shooting 60.
