MALIBU, Calif. -- The Saint Mary's men's basketball team suffered its worst shooting game of the season and dropped its first decision in Firestone Fieldhouse since 2004 in a 67-64 loss to Pepperdine Saturday afternoon.
The Gaels fell to 14-2 on the season and suffered its first West Coast Conference loss of the season to drop to 5-1 in league play. Pepperdine improved to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in the WCC. The victory was Pepperdine's seventh straight without a loss at home this season.
Junior Dane Pineau and sophomore Jock Landale led Saint Mary's with 16 points apiece as the Gaels shot a season-low .
