SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team dropped a tough non-conference game against San Diego State 74-49 Tuesday night at Mott Athletics Center on the campus of Cal Poly.
The neutral site game featured two of the top programs on the West Coast. With the loss, the Gaels snapped their eight-game winning streak to fall to 8-2. San Diego State improved to 6-1 with the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half, the Aztecs came out shooting well, taking a 40-20 break into the half. In the opening 20 minutes, San Diego State shot 61-percent from the field and 5-for-9 from 3-point range.
