MORAGA, Calif. — Tonight, Saint Mary's Basketball (23-4, 13-1 WCC) honored their connection with the country of Lithuania, their two student-athletes and and their Graduate Assistant Taut Tubelis, with the first annual Lithuania Night. Murauskas and Marciulionis returned the favor by leading the Gaels to a 77-56 victory over the Washington State Cougars (16-11, 6-8 WCC). The Gaels now move to 20-0 when scoring 70+ points in the game and continue to hold a two game lead on first place in the conference.
It was a slow start for the Gaels, who fell behind 10-3 in the early going, but, with Paulius Murauskas shouldering the load, Saint Mary's turned the seven point deficit into a nine point lead with a 25-9 run.
