LOS ANGELES — No. 15 Saint Mary's entered Thursday night's road game against Loyola Marymount as one of the hottest teams in the country. Winners of 12-straight, the Gaels were the only team left in the West Coast Conference without a loss. That changed, as the LMU Lions mounted a second-half comeback, forced overtime, and beat the Gaels 78-74 for their second win over a ranked WCC team this season. Saint Mary's drops to 21-5 (10-1) and remains in first place in the conference.
PERFECT START
A few things have been constant eternal lights for the Gaels during the season: early runs and great defense.
