LAS VEGAS — For the fourth time in program history and first time since 2012, Saint Mary's cut down the nets at the West Coast Conference Championships after toppling No. 1 Gonzaga in dominating fashion. The Gaels now have an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament and will go to the Big Dance for the second time in the past three seasons.

Saint Mary's defense was vital for the team's win as they held Gonzaga to shoot just 38 percent from the field, their lowest total of the season, and 12 percent from beyond the arc.
