SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — For the first time since the 2020-21 season, Saint Mary's Men's Basketball will return to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to square off with a fellow 2024 NCAA Tournament team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers on November 17. The Cornhuskers are coming off of their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2014, going 23-11 in the 2023-24 season. They return three starters from last year's squad, including honorable mention All-Big Ten big man Rienk Mast, who led the Huskers in rebounding and assists last season. Defending Big Ten Co-Coach of the Year and Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Fred Hoiberg also brought in a hefty recruiting class for the 2024-25 season, adding eight newcomers, including five power-five transfers.
