STOCKTON, Calif. — Saint Mary's defense stepped up Thursday night to stunt the Pacific offense and give the Gaels their ninth WCC win of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jordan Ford was once again the main storyline of the game with a 28 point performance to lead all players. The Folsom, Calif. native was 4-for-7 from deep and 11-of-20 overall. Ford, the conference's leading scorer, was also excellent on the defensive end, grabbing seven boards and picking up a steal.
The Gaels' defense was relentless throughout the game and limited Pacific to shoot just 21 percent overall, a season-best for SMC, and 18 percent from three.
