MORAGA, Calif. - After leading the Gaels to a pair of victories in the Bank of Hawaii Classic, sophomore guard Maia Jones won her second career Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week Award.
Jones led the team in scoring, averaging 14 points over the weekend including a game high 19 points in their 68-61 win over Louisiana Monroe. She then recorded nine points and four rebounds in a complete team victory over Eastern Washington on Thursday, 59-57. Jones currently leads Saint Mary's with 14 points per game and is also one of the top three-point shooters in the conference shooting 50% from beyond the arc (11-22).
