David Fehte's travel agent booked him first-class airfare to LAX the morning after a big college basketball game in North Carolina.
She addressed the itinerary to his office at the San Antonio Spurs corporate headquarters. But it wasn't the Spurs that paid the $886 bill.It was El Camino Real Charter High School, a public school in the San Fernando Valley. Fehte, the school's principal and executive director, used to moonlight as a scout for the professional basketball franchise.
