MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's pitcher Connor Linchey was named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week after his dominant performance against the first-place Portland Pilots.
Linchey delivered seven innings of one-run baseball, allowing just two hits and one walk with three strikeouts. He didn't allow a run until his final inning of work, and that scored on a groundout.
It's the third-straight, strong start for Linchey, who threw six innings allowing four runs with just two walks and six Ks in a 6-4 win at BYU. Before that he threw five scoreless innings against Santa Clara with just two walks and seven strikeouts in a win over Santa Clara.
