MORAGA, Calif. — In the season’s home opener, the Saint Mary’s lacrosse team (0-2, 0-2 MPSF) battled till the very end and displayed an impressive second half in the loss to No. 15 Stanford (2-2, 1-0 MPSF).
Despite the deficit and the often hard rainfall, SMC recorded five goals- all in the second half to showcase the team’s mental toughness and grit.
“I am really proud of the team and the way they fought today,” said Saint Mary’s head coach Alicia Florin. “It was a tough loss today, but the team showed immense effort and great character.
