MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s lacrosse team put together a strong first-half and outshot Cal but the Golden Bears pulled away in a 15-5 game on Senior Day.
Shortly before the game, the Gaels honored Kellie Barker, SMC’s only senior. The four-year letterwinner has enjoyed a strong career with the Gaels, leading this year’s team in several defensive categories.
Saint Mary’s outshot Cal 16-14 in the first-half, but the Gaels did not take advantage of 14 free-position shots in the game. SMC converted one in each half as Cal pulled away after leading by a 6-2 margin at halftime.
