MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -- Saint Mary's golfer Roman Aragon fired a 2-under par 140 to claim medalist honors and qualify for his second straight United States Amateur Championship appearance Monday at Mission Viejo Country Club.
Aragon is the fifth Saint Mary's golfer to qualify for two U.S. Amateurs and is one of 11 Gaels overall to have played in the champinships. Saint Mary's has qualified at least one golfer for the U.S. Amateur in each of the last nine years.
