EL MACERO, Calif. — Saint Mary's continued to play well on the second day of the El Macero Classic and sit in second place after two rounds at the 15-team event.
THE LEADERBOARD
The Gaels are 10-under and trail only No. 29 San Francisco heading into the final round. Saint Mary's was even on the day while USF caught fire and shot 11-under as a team and now have a four-stroke lead with 18 holes to play. The host UC Davis and Fresno State follow closely behind at 9-under.
Evan Peterson had the best performance of the day for Saint Mary's with a 3-under score and is now tied for 18th at 1-under overall.
