TOLEDO, Ohio — After a rocky first round, Saint Mary's was able to slowly right the ship on Monday and pull closer to the pack in a rain-shortened first day at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
THE LEADERBOARD
Tennessee holds a commanding lead heading into the final day of competition at 3-over and holds a 10-stroke lead over second place Virginia. Rounding out the top-5 are San Francisco at 14-over as well as Butler and Santa Clara tied at fourth at 17-over.
After a tough first round that saw the Gaels sit 11th out of the 12 schools, Saint Mary's shaped up in the second round to move up to ninth before play was stopped due to inclement weather.
