BARK RIVER, Mich. - The Gaels are traveling east to Michigan on Wednesday for their first tournament of the fall season where they will take part in The Island Resort Intercollegiate. The tournament is hosted by South Dakota State at the Sage Run Golf Club in Bark River, Mich.
The course, operated by the Potawatomi Indian Tribe, is a 7,300-yard challenge featuring sweeping views of the surrounding prairies and natural wetlands. Tournament play will take place over the holiday weekend from September 3-4. Illinois State University is returning this year as defending champions.
THE FIELD:
Competing alongside the Gaels are South Dakota State, Ohio, Bowling Green, Michigan, Boise State, Central Florida, North Texas, Coastal Carolina, Illinois State, and Miami (OH).
