PROVO, Utah. — Connor Blick shot 3-under par in his opening round and the Saint Mary’s golf team is in solo second after a solid 5-under first round of the 2017 West Coast Conference Championship at a chilly and overcast Riverside Country Club.
Saint Mary’s had four out of five player score at least even par in the opening 18 holes. Host of this year’s championship, BYU leads the Gaels by four strokes after an opening round 279 (-9). Behind SMC, Pepperdine sits in solo third at 3-under par. LMU and Santa Clara round out the top-5 at 2-under par.
