MORAGA, Calif. -- Saint Mary's golfer Roman Aragon is hoping experience will be a factor this week when he makes his second straight U.S. Amateur Championship appearance in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
The 116th annual event starts Monday on both the North and South courses at Oakland Hills Country Club, a 100-year-old venue that has hosted numerous national and international events over the years.
The entire field will compete in a 36-hole stroke play competition with the top 64 finishers advancing to match play. Aragon is scheduled to go off the 10th tee on the South Course at 11:35 p.
