MORAGA, Calif. — This weekend, members of the Saint Mary's men's soccer and women's basketball team participated in a virtual 5K to raise funds for Team Impact, an organization that pairs children battling serious or chronic illnesses with college sports teams. Men's soccer supported the cause in honor of Quentin "Squishy" Rios, who has been paired with the Gaels for several seasons, while women's basketball participated for Ayla Zawadzki who joined their program in February.
The men's soccer team traveled out to Squishy's hometown of Oakley, approximately 45 minutes from campus, to complete the event.
