MORAGA, Calif. — Men's basketball redshirt junior Malik Fitts has been named the Saint Mary's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 27 to Feb. 2 after putting up monster offensive numbers across two WCC games.
Fitts was the Gaels' top scorer during the week as he averaged 28.0 points in contests versus Portland and BYU. He was 21-of-32 overall from the floor and even more impressively 11-of-20 from three-point land.
Against the Pilots, Fitts put up 27, had three steals, two assists and set career highs in three-pointers made (7) and attempted (14).
