MORAGA, Calif. — Following his series clinching victory on the hill against Gonzaga, has been named this week's Shamrock Office Solution Student-Athlete of the Week. This is Connor's second time earning this award, doing so one last season as well. Linchey is the third Saint Mary's Baseball player to win the award, joining teammates Nathan Chong and Ryan Pierce.
Coming off of the worst start of his career a week ago, Linchey rebounded to toss arguably the best start in his collegiate career in the finale against Gonzaga. The grad student took a perfect game into the seventh inning, and needed just 74 pitches to toss eight shutout innings of two hit ball against the Zags, clinching the series W for the Gaels.
