MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary’s beach volleyball team won its second home game of the season on Thursday in a sweep against Bay Area rival San Francisco.
Each of Saint Mary’s pairs swept in two and the Gaels earned their second sweep in a row after beating Pacific 5-0 on Tuesday in Stockton. SMC has bounced back well after an 0-5 defeat at the hands of #3/3 UCLA in Monterey.
Lindsey Knudsen and Payton Rund moved to 11-1 on the season after beating USF’s No. 1 duo of Nora Buvaro Lavik and Emily Reed, 21-8, 21-14.
