MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary’s baseball’s Jackson Thoreson was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week Monday for the week of Feb. 20-26 after posting three multi-hit games and hitting two home runs while leading the Gaels to a series split against top-25 ranked Washington.
Thoreson slugged 1.059 during the four-game series against the Huskies, who were ranked as high as No. 10 in last week’s Baseball America poll. Thoreson had five extra-base hits against the Huskies. He hit two home runs, including a game-tying two-run shot in Thursday's series opener that the Gaels would go on to win 6-5.
