MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's went toe-to-toe with Big East member Creighton over the weekend but dropped the three-game series after surrendering a four-run lead in the finale to fall 6-5. They did take game one by a score of 11-6 behind home runs from Brian Duroff and Cody Kashimoto but lost two of three after being held to just two hits and two runs in game two.
The Gaels continue to boast a deep and dynamic offense as they lead the West Coast Conference with a .291 team batting average and 166 runs scored, but their depth on the mound has cost them some games in late innings.
