SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Saint Mary’s junior right-handed pitcher Cameron Neff was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week Monday for the week of April 25-May 1 after a stellar Sunday performance and a shutout relief outing against a top-20 team.
The Pitcher of the Week recognition is Neff’s first this season and second of his career. He was also named WCC Pitcher of the Week in 2013 after throwing a complete game shutout against then-No. 9 Cal State Fullerton. The weekly award is the fourth for the Gaels this season and third for a pitcher, following Corbin Burnes, Johnny York and Anthony Gonsolin.
