TUCSON, Ariz. — Saint Mary's baseball designated hitter and right-handed pitcher Kevin Milam was named an All-American Thursday by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, adding to his already decorated freshman season.
Milam was named to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-American Third Team. He was one of the best two-way players in the country in just his first season of college baseball. Milam led the Gaels with 12 home runs and 55 RBIs while hitting .313 and slugging a team-best .547. One of the most feared cleanup hitters in the West Coast Conference, he hit two grand slams during the year and had two home runs in one game against Loyola Marymount on April 13.
