MORAGA, Calif. — The last of a 10-game stretch away from Louis Guisto Field comes at 6 p.m. Wednesday for the Saint Mary’s baseball team, as the Gaels look to finish their extended road trip with a .500 record when they travel to the South Bay to face San Jose State.
Saint Mary’s (7-6) is 4-5 through nine games on the road since Feb. 23. The Gaels went a combined 3-4 at two tournaments in Arizona and also fell at Stanford on March 1 in between the tourneys. SMC has lost five of its last seven after starting the season 5-1, including a 3-1 mark in its only series at home so far.
