PHOENIX — Former Saint Mary’s baseball player Kyle Jensen finally got the call of a lifetime Saturday when he was brought up from Triple-A Reno to join the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball.
Jensen had a dominating year with the Reno Aces, Arizona’s Triple-A affiliate. In 133 games, the 2016 Pacific Coast League All-Star batted .289 (144 for 498) with 30 home runs, two triples, 34 doubles, 120 RBIs, 77 runs scored and one stolen base. His RBI total is tied with Reading’s Dylan Cozens for the most in professional baseball this year and represents an Arizona Triple-A single-season record.
