Almanza is no stranger to hearing his name called by the WCC, as he was honored as last season's Co-Player of the Year. This is the third time that Christian has been named WCC Player of the Week in his career, earning the honor once last season. This is the third time that a Gaels has been honored with a WCC Weekly Award, with Almanza now holding the honors twice, and Bear Harrison winning Freshman of the Week earlier this campaign.
