PORTLAND, Ore. – Sunday's series finale in Portland was wet, wild, and a little weird for the Gaels in a 22-12 loss to the Pilots.
The game's first pitch was delayed by an hour to avoid weather interruptions, and though the umpires may have tried to let the second inning finish before pausing the game due to rain, it was an inning that wouldn't end for the Gaels.
Saint Mary's scored first again when Dalton Mashore singled up the middle to score Coleman Schmidt for an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second.
